Note that the warranty is in addition to our 30-day no questions asked returns policy, which you can find here.
Warranty Time Period
Unless stated otherwise, the warranty is for two years from the original purchase date. Only a customer that bought directly from us can make a warranty claim.
Warranty Coverage
The warranty covers the four key elements of the electrical system:
- Motor
- Motor Controller
- Battery (one year only)
- Charger
Warranty Claim Process
Contact us at warranty@fatwheelscoot.com, giving us details of the issue. We will attempt to conduct an initial diagnosis with you remotely or by physically inspecting the scooter. If remote, we usually do this over a video call, asking you to try a few different tests to enable us to diagnose the issue.
Assuming the issue is covered, you can either arrange to bring the scooter to us in central London, and we will fit the replacement part, or we can send the part to you, and you fit the part. We will provide any guidance required.
If there are persistent warranty issues, we may refund you or replace your scooter with a similar one.
Warranty Exclusions:
- Accidental damage
- Damage that is caused carelessly, negligently or intentionally (this includes poor battery care, e.g. leaving the battery at 0% for a long period)
- If the scooter has been opened up, repaired or modified (including software) by someone other than us (or someone under our authorisation and guidance)
- Natural wear and tear of components where the specified normal operating conditions are exceeded
- Damage due to improper use
- Damage due to natural disasters
- Damage due to external products
- Damage due to foreign bodies, liquids or substances or extreme temperature
- Damage due to issues with the electricity supply
