What Tyre Size Do Citycocos Have?

Citycocos typically have wheel rims with a diameter of either 8 inches or 10 inches. The 8 inch wheels will normally have 225/55-8 tyres with a width of 225mm and a height of 124mm. The 10 inch wheels normally have 225/40-10 tyres with a width of 225mm and a height of 90mm. The full diameter of the wheel and tyre would typically be between 16 to 19 inches, in contrast to a car where the diameter might be more like 25 inches.

You will be able to check your tyre size by looking at the current tyre. Somewhere on the tyre will be a code in the format of a three digit number, followed by a slash, followed by a two digit number, followed by a dash and then a one or two digit number. For instance the common 225/55-8 seen on many citycocos. You can see the tyre size written below on a couple of citycoco tyres.

The first number in the code represents the width of the tyre in mm (for the 225/55-8 tyre this would mean its width is 225mm), the second is the height of the tyre as a percentage of the width (so in this case the height is 55% of 225mm or 124mm) and the last number is the wheel rim diameter in inches (so in this case we can see it fits onto an 8 inch wheel rim).

It's possible that your tyre only has an imperial measurement rather than metric. For instance 18x9.50-8 which is the imperial equivalent of the 225/55-8 tyre. Here the first number is the total height of the whole wheel (the rim with the tyre on) in inches, the second number is the width of the tyre in inches, and the last is the same wheel rim diameter as in the metric version.
